Here are some testimonials from our patients about their experience with Professional Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine:
Okay. So I sprained my ankle in soccer. I got hit by a power shot on the inside of my ankle when I was about to put my weight on it so I pretty much rolled it when I landed. I wore crutches my first day, got it x-rayed the next morning at which time I found out I had a high sprain. I didn’t come to Steve until a week after. I came in an ankle brace with purple toes, tons of swelling and bruising on the outside and bruising/ a little swelling on the inside. The first day he had me already on the tramp jogging. He taped me up, sent me home with a little instructions. I felt so much better on the first day! I was happy and already expecting a fast recovery. Ever since I’ve progressed at a speed I didn’t think possible. I was able to play after two weeks from injury which was only one week with Steve. This has been my fastest recovery. Steve’s awesome! He knows what he is doing. I just want to say thanks to all the staff and Steve for working so good and getting me back fast! Thanks!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Orrock and Mendenhall-Orem are absolutely the best PTs in the business. I was kind of stuck in my progress after total knee replacement and the excellent folks here got me going again. My flexion and extension are now beyond the targets- my knee is happy, and so am I. Karen, Steve, Devin, Shane, Kaisha, Susan- each one excellent in his or her respective roles, and all of them a great team to encourage one to do what needs to be done to make a full recovery. I recommend them wholeheartedly! And besides their professionalism, they’re a happifying group of people to be around. Thank you, Orrock and Mendenhall!

I injured my back while carrying my four-year-old son up three flights of stairs to our home. To complicate matters, I was pregnant with our second child. My injury was so bad that I couldn’t walk, sit, stand, roll over in bed- basically I couldn’t do anything and the pain was severe.
From the moment I called to make my first appointment I was welcomed in like I was part of the family. I can’t say enough about Steve, Karen, Susan and the rest of the staff. They are Miracle Workers and really care about you and your progress. I’m happy to say that after several weeks of constant care and encouragement, I have made tremendous progress and have healed to a point where I can function normally without pain.
Thank you! –Steve, Karen, Susan and the whole team. You are amazing!!!

I am so thankful for Karen and Steve! I am PAIN-FREE! I decided last year I wanted to trim up and relieve stress by running. All was going well until I decided to do sprints. This led to painful lower back discomfort. It was recommended I see a chiropractor. I went for three months, three days a week. Still in pain and still not running. I took a few months off of exercise, and a few weeks ago decided it was time to run again. Frustrated that the lower back pain returned, I visited Steve. The very next day after visit number one, (being in constant pain three days prior) –pain free! I still could sense weakness and twinges of pain doing various activities- but overall no pain. I continued my visits, did my stretches and two weeks later I was running and doing all the things I wanted. No pain, no weakness, no twinges. I now swear by Karen and Steve’s therapy and treatment. I tell everyone who talks about physical weakness/pain to go to Karen and Steve! Being healthy enough to run, hike, bike, and do exercise helps me to be mentally and emotionally balanced. I see and feel a million times better about myself when I get in a good run. Thank you, thank you Karen and Steve for helping me become healthy and back doing what I love!

I’ve dealt with SI joint lower disk problems for six + years and have gone to a couple of physical therapists/chiropractors/massage therapists etc… and have found some relief. It was not until I came to Professional Physical Therapy and worked with Steve and his staff that I’ve found the source of the problem and have been able to treat it. I’ve felt and feel no numbness and pain for a while now, and that is such a change from the past 3-4 years. They’ve helped me to not only get back into my day to day responsibilities, but have helped me do what I enjoy most (playing sports hard and often) and without pain.
Thanks for everything!

I started physical therapy in March for my elbow, bicep, and shoulder. Prior to that I had been seeing another therapist and just wasn’t getting any results. After seeing Steve and his staff it wasn’t very long before I started noticing a difference. During my treatment I have been able to continue climbing and lifting which was different from the other therapist. I have been really impressed with Steve and his staff. They have been great to me. I now feel like I can really start training again and getting after it again. Thanks you guys. You’re great!

I thought that Physical Therapy would be boring and just hard. It was pretty easy, well it ended really fast. They were able to get my shoulder healed and working again for the softball season. They were really easy and fun to work with. It was a good and relaxed environment to be in. The best part was knowing that they knew what they were doing. I could feel the healing process start after my first day. They knew exactly what I needed to do and got the job done.
The P.T.’s here are great to work with. They’ve got their humor and the type of personalities to make all clients comfortable and happy.
My injury started in practice with some bad grinding in my shoulder that turned into a pain. Soon I couldn’t throw the ball at all. The school trainer, Cindy Anderson, brought me into the clinic to have Steve Orrock take a look at me. He figured out what was wrong and got me started in therapy next day. I made fast progress and was ready to play again within about two weeks. I injured it again in a game and they had me come right and healed me even faster the second time.
It was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone needing Physical Therapy.

I came in to Physical Therapy after being in a car accident. My neck and upper back hurt extremely bad and I had limited mobility. The staff at Professional Physical Therapy were really good at treating the problem areas. After the pain was gone, we worked on getting back the mobility and treating the stress in my neck. I felt much better after each visit and I know that there was a lot of improvement in my neck at back. I’m glad that I was able to find such a professional and friendly group of people to help me out.

Hmm… I have never written a letter to a physical therapy team but it seems only appropriate since you all took me from immobility to full range of motion with no pain at all. I really appreciated the information I received about how the stretches and exercises helped each muscle and what we could expect from working on them consistently. Although I was in much pain initially (and sporadically later) I never dreaded coming to PT because the therapists and aides were always great and fun. The staff I mostly interacted were Steve, Karen, Shane and Devin. They were helpful in teaching me about what my body needed to heal and pushed me far enough to stay progressing but not so far as to re-damage anything.
Although I am not ecstatic that I needed Physical Therapy in the first place I am glad my doctor recommended me to this team. I feel confident that anyone I refer will receive the great care I did and that if I were to need Physical Therapy again in the future that I have a group that I trust and feel comfortable with.
Thanks again!

My experience at Orrock and Mendenhall Physical Therapy has truly been a wonderful experience! Every person in the staff is kind, welcoming and encouraging to getting better. Not only are they professional about their work but they really know what they’re talking about. Steve and Karen both have accelerated my recovery time and were always full of answers as to how I could quicken my recovery. I looked forward to coming in every time because I knew I would be getting better faster and would enjoy the company of everyone here. I would strongly recommend this Physical Therapy business to anyone with an injury.

This Physical Therapy has been excellent! I have recovered from joint surgery both with and without professional therapy and find my progress has been much better with the professional therapy.
Not only can the therapist do a better job than I can at home, but the social atmosphere helps me handle the pain of healing. Much better than just putting myself through painful experiences all by myself at home.
Steve Orrock and Karen and their team have done a great job on my shoulder. I am seventy-four years old, but have made much better progress than my son when he had the same surgery in his forties.
I definitely recommend Steve Orrock and company for a successful therapy experience!

I came into the facility about six weeks ago with a pulled quad muscle. I came to Karen and Steve from a recommendation of another runner friend. What I found was a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Susan was so awesome and accommodating to fit me in right away. I really enjoyed listening to the interactions of the staff and the other patients. Susan is a great way to be introduced into the PT world. She makes you feel great.
I first saw Karen and worked with her. I appreciated how she listens to what’s going on with my legs and offered simple solutions to fix the problem. I worked mainly with her throughout the treatment program and incorporated what she suggested. By making minor adjustments I was able to improve my running. She even went outside to see my running form on a very cold and windy day. She has some great insights that were easy to do and she’s very positive.
I loved Steve’s knowledge about the muscles and why something is hurting. He was very friendly and had a great sense of humor.
I loved the aides! They were great and lots of fun to be around. They were confident and had a great way about them.
One of the best things about this place is I never felt judged that I don’t look like a runner. I never felt that I wasn’t worth their time and effort. They treated me like the most important person. I love that everyone remembers who you are and remembers something about you. And they are happy to see you!
I appreciate Karen’s enthusiasm for all the small steps I made. She helped me get over my mental blocks when I was getting very disappointed.
Thanks for all the memories and all the abuse!
