When a patient gets into a physical therapy program within 24 hours of their injury,
over 95% will be able to return to normal activities in 3-5 days.
Real Life Story
I have been suffering from foot pain for the past 15 years. When I went into see Steve and Buck it was for a back injury I sustained while helping my Mother move. They took time with me and really helped me get my back feeling normal again. When the topic of foot pain came up, they took a great interest in my concern. I had accepted it as normal and something I would just have to live with. They told me it wasn’t normal and I was amazed when they showed me certain stretches and strengthening exercises that could help. Now I am able to keep my foot pain under control as long as I do my exercises and wear properly fitted shoes for my activities. I never could have imagined how much they could have helped me with my foot problems. Now I can do the things that I want to and I am not in pain at the end of the day.

What is the most frequently overlooked part of the body that can cause some of the most pain and discomfort in our lives? Our feet! With an ever increasing active population, we tend to spend more and more time on our feet. This is either at work or in our recreational activities or both. Most people who have foot pain or discomfort think that it is: a)normal or that it will b) go away on its own.
The truth is that many of those who suffer from foot pain, or plantarfasciitis, are experiencing pain and discomfort needlessly. Most of those who have this condition just accept it and try to go on in pain rather than try to address it. It doesn’t have to be that way. The causes of plantar fasciitis can range from something as simple as the wrong shoes for a particular activity to poor foot biomechanics.
At Orrock/Mendenhall Sports Medicine we take one-on-one time with your patients to properly evaluate the underlying causes of this nagging condition and address it quickly and effectively so that they can get back to full enjoyment of their desired activities. We emphasize education of your patients so that they can learn what they need to know so that they can help themselves get better.
